On Tuesday, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands made a colorful appearance at a brand-new equine facility.

Maxima attended the opening of a new riding school, No Limits Noordwijk, which provides therapeutic riding lessons for people with anxiety, autism, ADHD, or Down syndrome.

Maxima wore jewels set with a rainbow of gemstones for her visit to the school.

She wore the same multicolored earrings that she recently wore in Britain for the Order of the Garter service. (See the earrings on that occasion here!)

On her dress, she pinned a fascinating brooch: a golden swan decked out in diamonds and milky gems — perhaps moonstones? The bird also has a green gem set as its eye. She’s worn this one previously, including an appearance in Amsterdam two years ago.

She also wore her ring set with blue and green stones. I don’t think that the precise gems set in the ring have been identified, but I’m guessing blue topaz and emerald. The ring has been in her collection for almost a decade.

On her left hand, she wore her wedding band and her engagement ring, with its distinctive orange diamond center stone. She also wore her diamond wedding bracelet on her left wrist.
