After waiting almost two years, we’ve finally got some new details about the premiere of Season 3 of The Crown on Netflix!

Netflix released a few fleeting seconds of new footage this week, showing Olivia Colman as the Queen. (Because the series is moving forward in time, the show has an entirely new cast for the upcoming season.) They also finally (!) gave us a release date: November 17, 2019.

Longtime readers here will know that I have something of a love-hate relationship with the show — especially its treatment of royal history and royal jewelry. But I’ve recapped the entire run so far, and I’m planning to do recaps of the upcoming season, too. For those who want a refresher, I’ll link my previous episode recaps below.
