Bold Jewelry for Queen Maxima

For a series of outings in the Netherlands this week, Queen Maxima has worn a range of jewelry — from the super bold to the completely minimal.

On Tuesday, Queen Maxima started off her day with an engagement in Amsterdam.

She attended the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Conference at the Royal Tropical Institute.

While attending the conference, Maxima spoke with representatives from various NGOs and health care providers.

For the conference, Maxima wore a camel-colored top with matching trousers. A large sparkling floral embellishment was pinned to her shoulder. She also wore a beaded bracelet stacked with her watch.

I’m not sure whether the crystal design is an independent accessory or part of the top itself, but it appears that, either way, the earrings were designed as coordinating companion pieces.

Gold jewelry was also part of Maxima’s ensemble for an engagement later in the day. Maxima traveled to The Hague for the presentation of the annual report state of small and medium-sized enterprises of the Dutch committee for entrepreneurship at the Nieuwspoort Press Center.

For the presentation, Maxima wore another neutral-colored outfit, accessorizing this time with oversized gold jewelry. The accessories included a (very!) large pair of earrings and a torque-style necklace.

The day before, Maxima visited Schiphol to attend the fifth Global SME Finance Forum, which also focused on global development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Grimaldis were out and about in Monaco for a glittering gala event on Saturday, and we’ve got a look at the best jewels of the evening.

The “Secret Games” party was held at the casino in Monte-Carlo, and Prince Albert II and Princess Caroline led the family assembly for the event.

With her feathery gown, Princess Caroline wore diamond and pearl earrings. The pearl drops appear to have a silvery tint.

Also like her grandmother Grace, Camille took off her spectacles for most of the posed photos. And like her aunt Caroline, she chose a feathery dress for the party.

Camille wore an intriguing pair of sparkling earrings for the party, though they were unfortunately hidden by her hair in the photos from the event. She also wore a delicate necklace. The detail of the charm is hard to see, but I think it may be a Van Cleef and Arpels piece.

Louis and Marie, who are the beaming newlyweds of the family, also looked elegant at the gala. Marie kept her jewelry to an absolute minimum, wearing only her engagement and wedding rings.
