10. Princess Anne attended an early morning service in London on ANZAC Day, wearing a stylized gold brooch. (That’s her handbag strap obscuring the brooch a bit.)

9. The Duchess of Cornwall wore her signature pearls as she attended a performance by a Colombian theatrical group in London on Wednesday.

8.  Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands was also in London this week, marking the 140th anniversary of the King William Fund. She wore gold jewelry for the celebrations, including a bracelet that appears to have a snake motif.

7.  Wearing a fun pair of blue earrings, Princess Caroline of Monaco served on the fashion jury at the International Festival of Fashion and Photography in France.

6. After the King’s Day festivities ended in the Netherlands, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima traveled to Bonaire, where she embraced the tropical fun in both her clothing and her jewelry.

5. While she wore a large brooch — the Palm Leaf — for ANZAC Day, Queen Elizabeth II selected the smaller Diamond Leek Brooch to present new colors to the Welsh Guards at Windsor on Thursday.

4. At the Reina Sofia Awards on Wednesday, Queen Letizia wore small earrings; however, her mother-in-law, the star of the show for the day, wore a large necklace with an elaborate pendant.

3. Princess Madeleine wore a distinctive, sautoir-style necklace of pearls during the Swedish royal audience with Pope Francis on Monday.

2. Crown Princess Victoria selected an intriguing pair of long pendant earrings for the birthday celebrations of her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, in Stockholm on Thursday.

1. Crown Princess Mary brought out a surprising — yet very appropriate — jewel for ANZAC Day, debuting her Australian Opal Brooch. She’s worn the central opal as a ring on a previous occasion, but this is the first time we’ve seen it in brooch form. It was a perfect choice for a service commemorating the valor of Australian and New Zealand soldiers.

After last week’s glittering extravaganza in Denmark, things were a bit quieter on the jewel front this week, but there’s still plenty of sparkle to marvel at. Be sure to vote for your favorites in the poll!
10. Queen Letizia of Spain debuted a new bob haircut this week, using it to show off new pearl earrings — possibly from Tous? — at a luncheon for the Cervantes Awards honorees on Tuesday.

9. On Friday, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands headed to the United States, where she wore glittering diamond hoop earrings at a meeting of the world’s major financial institutions in Washington, D.C.

8.  After showing off a new brooch on Saturday, Queen Elizabeth II returned to more familiar territory on Sunday, wearing the badge of the Calgary Highlanders during a visit to Canada House in London.

7. Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy also attended the reception at Canada House on Sunday, wearing a familiar pearl choker, pearl and diamond earrings, and the badge of the Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s), of which she is Colonel-in-Chief.

6. Queen Mathilde of the Belgians wore pearl and diamond stud earrings to visit the European Union in Strasbourg on Tuesday.

5. Queen Letizia wore her earrings with red stones at the Cervantes Awards on Thursday; she also pinned her newly-cut hair back into an updo, courtesy a bit of hairdresser magic:

4. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wore an intriguing pair of earrings — possibly pearls? — on Tuesday for a visit to the Maternity Foundation.

3. Queen Letizia made one more bejeweled appearance this week, and it was a big one: she wore a stunning set of modern earrings and a coordinating bracelet at an awards ceremony on Tuesday.

2. A rare “bejeweled” appearance from a male royal this week! Queen Elizabeth II invested her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, with the Order of Australia.

Philip’s new insignia is made of gold and also features citrines. So shiny!

1. My top vote of the week goes to Queen Sonja of Norway, who attended the American-Scandinavian Foundation Gala in  . She wore a multi-stranded pearl choker necklace, pearl and diamond earrings, and the pearl and diamond brooch that belonged to Queen Maud.

10. We got a good look at the Duchess of Cambridge’s new Kiki McDonough morganite and diamond drop earrings on Friday when William and Kate visited XLP in London.

9. Last Thursday, the Countess of Wessex attended the reburial service for King Richard III in Leicester. She wore her lemon topaz earrings by Heavenly Necklaces.
8. When you’re attending the horse trials at Gatcombe Park, the teensiest golden stud earrings, like the ones worn on Saturday by Princess Anne, are perfectly appropriate.
7. A regally-bejeweled Queen Sofia of Spain, wearing pearls, golden earrings, a floral brooch, and stacks of bracelets, attended the Real Foundation Awards in Toledo on Friday.
6. The Duchess of Cornwall’s pearl earrings just peeked out from under her hat at the races on Sunday, which benefitted the Prince’s Countryside Fund.
5. The Danish crown princely couple visited Japan this week; Crown Princess Mary paired pearl earrings with her floral dress to open an exhibit about Greenland on Friday.
4. On Saturday, Mary wore glittering floral earrings in Tokyo.
3. Queen Elizabeth II brought out some major glitter to launch the George III Project on Wednesday: the Cullinan V Brooch.
2. The Queen distributed Maundy money for the sixtieth time on Thursday, this time while wearing the Mappin and Webb Orchid Brooch at Sheffield Cathedral.
1. No one out-glittered Princess Caroline this week; she attended the annual Rose Ball in Monaco wearing a pair of gorgeous Art Deco earrings, which may have belonged to her grandmother, Princess Charlotte, and her diamond fringe necklace. More sparkle from the Rose Ball here!
