10. In California on Wednesday, Princess Charlene of Monaco wore a pair of sunburst-shaped stud earrings and a diamond cross to launch the American branch of her charitable foundation.

9. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands wore statement earrings in bright orange, her country’s signature color, at a climate change conference in Rotterdam on Wednesday.

8. Earrings set with diamonds and cabochon rubies were Queen Letizia of Spain’s choice for a rainy day of engagements in Seville on Tuesday.

7. On Wednesday, Queen Mathilde of the Belgians wore a major pair of gold statement earrings for a meeting at the palace in Brussels.

6. At Tuesday’s Buckingham Palace garden party, the Duchess of Gloucester wore a gorgeous suite of jewels (and carried an elaborate umbrella!). You can see closeups here, as well as glimpses of jewels worn by Princess Alexandra and the Countess of Wessex.

5. The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a special garden party at Buckingham Palace on Thursday to mark the 150th anniversary of Barnardo’s, a children’s charity. For the event, she wore her grand pearl choker necklace with a diamond and pink topaz clasp.

4. At Tuesday’s garden party, Queen Elizabeth II wore one of her 21st birthday gifts, the diamond Flame Lily Brooch.

3. The Queen held a reception for members of parliament at Buck House on Monday; she wore the Albert Brooch and a healthy amount of skepticism.

2. Two state visits this week = two tiaras! In Sweden, Queen Silvia wore the glittering Queen Sofia’s Tiara, which is also sometimes called the Nine-Prong Tiara (for obvious reasons).

1. My top vote of the week goes to one of my personal favorite tiaras: the Luxembourg Vine Leaves Tiara, worn by Grand Duchess Maria Teresa during the state visit to Finland.

With such a a jewel-packed week, one poll won’t cover it! We’re looking at my top ten tiaras of the week, all of which were worn at the King of Sweden’s birthday gala, in this bonus post. Be sure to vote for your favorite in the poll below!

10. Margarita of Romania, daughter of the country’s last king, wore her family’s greek key tiara.

9. Princess Takamado, part of the Japanese imperial family, wore her diamond bandeau with a laurel-leaf design.

8, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wore the Boucheron Laurel Wreath Tiara, a piece that has been worn by Swedish princesses for more than a century.

7. Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg paid tribute to her Swedish cousin by wearing Queen Sofia’s Star and Pearl Tiara, a Swedish heirloom.

6. Benedikte’s sister, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, also wore a Swedish heirloom jewel: the Baden Palmette Tiara.

5. Kelly of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha wore the family’s unusual heirloom diamond and turquoise tiara with jewels from the coordinating parure.

4. We had a rare glimpse of one tiara with royal connections: the Douglas Floral Tiara, worn by Princess Elisabeth, Duchess in Bavaria. Elisabeth was born Countess Elisabeth Douglas; her father’s family are members of the Swedish nobility. The tiara is notable because it was worn by her daughter, now Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein, at her wedding.

3. Queen Silvia of Sweden wore another tiara with a century-long Swedish heritage: the Connaught Diamond Tiara.

2. Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands wore one of the grandest Dutch royal tiaras (and her wedding tiara), the Wurttemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara.

1. My top vote may be a bit unexpected, but hear me out: Queen Louise’s Diamond Tiara (worn by its owner, Princess Desiree) is small, and its history in the Bernadotte family isn’t as long as many other pieces, but we haven’t seen it in forever. This vote celebrates a tiara emerging from the vaults! (Also: you get a bonus Baden Fringe sighting here. You’re welcome!)

10. The Duchess of Cambridge wore pieces from Mappin and Webb’s Empress collection for a visit to the Magic Garden at Hampton Court Palace on Wednesday.

9. On Wednesday, Kate also wore jewels from Monica Vinader’s Riva collection to visit the Vogue exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery — only days after we all discussed whether or not the set had been loaned.

8. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark helped to celebrate the Swedish king’s 70th birthday on Saturday while wearing this lovely brooch, which appears to be set with amethysts.

7. Queen Rania of Jordan glittered in a pair of chandelier earrings at the Met Gala on Monday evening. You can see many more pieces of sparkling jewelry from the gala over here!

6. The Duchess of Cornwall debuted new malachite and gold pieces from her Van Cleef and Arpels Magic Alhambra collection at a reception for British Oscar winners on Wednesday.

5. At the Liberation Day Concert in Amsterdam on Thursday, Queen Maxima wore diamonds on both wrists: her wedding bracelet and her family’s initial bracelet on her right wrist, and one of the East Indies bracelets on her left.
