The Diamond Maple Leaf Brooch

This fantastic diamond brooch, made by Asprey, was a gift from King George VI to the Queen Mother ahead of their 1939 tour of Canada. The Queen Mum treasured the brooch, which is made to resemble a leaf of the Canadian Sugar Maple, and wore it throughout her life. The Queen inherited it from her mother in 2002. Both women have often loaned the brooch to other family members visiting Canada, and the Duchesses of Cornwall and Cambridge have made memorable recent appearances in the piece.

The Pink Cluster Brooch

This petite cluster brooch features a vivid pink gemstone (often described as a pink sapphire) set in a beautiful diamond frame. The brooch originally belonged to the Queen’s grandmother, Queen Mary. In recent years, it has become one of the Queen’s favorite brooches, appearing at palace audiences, Royal Ascot, and even one outing on Christmas Day!

The Brazilian Aquamarine Brooch

The Queen’s magnificent parure of Brazilian aquamarines includes this vibrant blue aquamarine brooch. The Queen usually wears it separately from the rest of the suite, as she did at Royal Ascot in 2012, and for a service of celebration at Westminster Abbey to mark the 60th anniversary of her coronation in June 2013.

The Kensington Bow Brooch

This large ribbon brooch, which features a pear-shaped pearl pendant, was one of Queen Mary’s wedding presents. It was made by Collingwood in 1893 and given to her by the people of Kensington the same year. Mary wore the diamond, pearl, silver, and gold brooch at her coronation in 1911, and she bequeathed it to her granddaughter in 1953. The Queen has worn it often throughout her reign, frequently pinning it to her sash during gala events.

The Williamson Pink Diamond Brooch

This classic diamond flower brooch features one of the rarest flawless pink diamonds in the world, given to the Queen as a wedding present by a Canadian gemologist in 1947. Cartier finished the surrounding brooch during the coronation year of 1953, and the Queen has been wearing the spectacular piece regularly ever since. She’s selected it for important portraits, major diplomatic visits, and two of her children’s weddings.

The Crystal Orchid Brooch

One of the newest additions to HM’s brooch collection, this floral jewel was a gift from Mappin and Webb to mark the 60th anniversary of her coronation in 2013. The firm crafted the unique orchid brooch from Waterford crystal, diamonds, and rose gold. One of its most important appearances so far came in 2014, when the President of Ireland made a state visit to the United Kingdom.
