Queen Letizia wears Tous earrings
Holiday Wishlist: Tous Jewelry
With Queen Letizia of Spain as a customer, it’s hard to go wrong. Tous, a company that has been making jewelry in Barcelona since 1920, produces pieces that are whimsical and fun, many featuring the house’s signature teddy bear. Here are five of my favorites from Tous’s current collections…
The Pure Pendant Necklace is an exciting jumble of gemstones, with rhodolite, amethyst, tourmaline, peridot, citrine, topaz and iolite all set in yellow gold. The small size of this necklace manages to keep the piece chic and fun at the same time. ($770)
Queen Letizia recently sported the intentionally mismatched dangling earrings from Tous’s Beethoven line. I love the coordinating Beethoven Bracelet, which combines emerald, chrysoprase, green tourmaline, turquoise, ruby, opal and pink quartz in a yellow gold setting. ($2500)
Stylized rosettes in rose gold combine to form a modern twist on floral jewelry in the Rosa d’Abril Ring, a piece that commands attention in a sophisticated way. ($510)
I can already see Queen Mathilde adding the Laure Earrings to her Christmas list — the substantial gold earrings, with their gorgeous natural leaf motif, are right on trend with the exaggerated pairs favored lately by European queens. ($210)
An eye-catching cobalt blue pendant necklace is an excellent addition to a neutral ensemble, and I love Tous’s Sul Necklace, with blue quartz and mother of pearl set in gold-plated sterling silver. ($320)
Which of Tous’s pieces would you most like to receive from Santa this season?
