Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 2017 Laureus World Sports Awards at Sporting Monte Carlo’s Salle des Etoiles on Tuesday. Charlene wore Valentine red and a very interesting pair of earrings.

Charlene loves statement earrings, but this pair of shoulder-grazing diamond earrings are some of the longest she’s worn to date. They appear to be Art Deco (or deco-inspired) in their design. I haven’t heard any provenance or designer information on them yet.

Along with her usual pearl earrings and necklace, the Queen wore one of the brooches from the Cambridge emerald suite. (Which, coincidentally, we talked about in this morning’s Romantic Royal Jewels post!) This is the rounder of the brooches, which features a double cluster of diamonds surrounding a cabochon emerald.

The complete brooch features an emerald drop pendant. You can see the Queen wearing the full brooch in the photo above, which dates to October 2005. In recent years, she’s often just worn the cluster section of the brooch.
