The day included several stops, including a visit to La Gloriette, a community center run by a social co-operative engaged in social and educational work with vulnerable people.

At a local fashion house, E. Marinella, Camilla was able to observe the processes involved in making silk scarves and ties by hand before inaugurating the firm’s museum.

She also toured the Herculaneum Archaeological Site, viewing ancient artifacts excavated on site.

Later that evening, on her return to Florence, Camilla added a jacket to her outfit to attend a wine reception with Prince Charles.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall embarked on a six-day visit to Italy on Friday. The visit is intended to highlight UK’s relationship with European partners in areas including social cohesion, military ties and combating human trafficking. Throughout the day, we’ll be catching up on the jewels that Camilla has worn, beginning with the arrival events in Florence.
