After wrapping up their visit to Italy and the Vatican, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall hopped a plane to Vienna for an Austrian visit on Wednesday.

Camilla wore a lovely black ensemble with striking white embroidery to meet with President Alexander Van der Bellen and First Lady Doris Schmidauer at Hofburg Palace.

Along with touring the apartments at the Hofburg (which used to be the winter home of the Habsburgs), Charles and Camilla stopped by Café Demel, where they were treated to a demonstration of traditional pastry-making techniques.

Camilla wore diamond and pearl earrings and one of her pearl choker necklaces (the one with the round diamond clasp) for the day’s events.

She also wore her usual bracelets on her left wrist, plus her engagement and wedding rings.
This is one of my favorite outfits of the trip so far. I’m not one of the people who was upset by her outfit during the Vatican trip, but I’m rather surprised this wasn’t her choice for that occasion — just to quiet any potential criticism. Perhaps she wanted to save it for the glamour of the Hofburg?
