The day after celebrating her 91st birthday, a beaming Queen Elizabeth II was back in her happy place: the world of horse racing. She wore a brooch she’s had for more than half a century for a trip to Newbury Racecourse.

With her customary pearl earrings and necklace, the Queen wore her Flower Basket Brooch. It was given to her in 1948 by her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, to mark the birth of Prince Charles.
