The Top Ten: Tiaras at Crown Princess Victoria’s Wedding (#8)

Our countdown of the best tiara moments from Crown Princess Victoria’s wedding continues with number eight: the dazzling diamonds worn by Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg!

Benedikte, who is the sister of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, wore fantastic diamonds and sapphires with Danish, German, and Swedish royal heritage.

Her tiara, the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara, comes from the family of her husband, the late Prince Richard. She paired the classic fringe with diamond fan earrings from her mother, Queen Ingrid of Denmark. Her diamond necklace is part of the grand diamond sautoir that belonged to her grandmother, Queen Alexandrine of Denmark.

She also added even more glitter to her ensemble with a major family brooch.

The diamond and sapphire brooch, which Benedikte inherited from Queen Ingrid, originally belonged to Princess Thyra of Denmark.
