The Top Ten: Crown Princess Victoria’s Wedding Gala (#1)

Who else could it be? We’ve reached the top of our countdown of the best royal jewels worn to Crown Princess Victoria’s pre-wedding gala, held ten years ago this month, and the top spot goes to…

…the bride, of course! But not just because Crown Princess Victoria was the woman of the hour — because she wore some truly stunning heirloom diamonds for the occasion!

With her sparkle-encrusted blush gown, Victoria wore a major pair of statement earrings from the Bernadotte family collection.

These are the Swedish Diamond Epaulette Earrings, made from a pair of diamond epaulettes that were once worn on the shoulder of a royal man’s dress military uniform.

In her hair, the crown princess wore perhaps the best and most romantic royal jewel of the entire event.

It’s the Swedish Diamond Arrow Brooch, an impressive diamond jewel that has been with the royal family for generations. Its use during a royal wedding celebration was so special — Victoria looked like she’d been literally struck with one of Cupid’s arrows of love.

The large diamond bracelet she wore is also a royal heirloom, reportedly originating with Queen Sofia. And you also get a nice look here at Victoria’s diamond solitaire engagement ring.
