Princess Beatrice of York, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, accepted a proposal from Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in Italy in September. The couple, pictured above at the wedding of Jean-Christophe, Prince Napoleon and Countess Olympia of Arco-Zinneberg in Paris in October, released a statement through the palace, sharing that both are “so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.”

Edoardo presented Beatrice with a major diamond ring when she said yes. He collaborated with British jeweler Shaun Leane on the diamond and platinum ring, which features a 2.5 carat diamond sourced from Botswana as its center stone.

The pair are reportedly planning to wed in 2020. But with Beatrice’s father, the Duke of York, having stepped away from his public role because of his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein, it still remains to be seen how high-profile the wedding will ultimately be.
