On Monday, Meghan ventured out to Victoria Yards, a revitalized area of Johannesburg that features groups of local artists showcasing their talents and work.

Appropriately, Meghan chose to showcase the work of a South African jeweler during the visit. Her handcrafted hoop earrings were made by Pichulik, a company headquartered in Cape Town. The brand’s website notes that they see jewelry as “a sacred conduit for healing, community and wisdom.”

On Tuesday, Meghan began her day with a visit to the University of Johannesburg, in her capacity as patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. She participated in a roundtable discussion about the difficulties faced by South African women seeking to access higher education.

She kept her jewelry extremely minimal for this event, wearing no earrings at all. (Her hair covered her ears for the majority of the engagement.)

She did wear her gold wedding band stacked with her gold and turquoise Jennifer Meyer ring, as well as a gold and enamel evil eye bracelet by Alemdara.

Later on Tuesday, Meghan visited Action Aid South Africa, an organization dedicated to fighting for women’s rights, championing social justice, and ending poverty. While visiting Action Aid, she participated in a conversation about ways to tackle the problem of violence against women and girls.
