The earrings feature a cabochon emerald set in a gold stud, from which a large pearl drop is suspended. The earrings are large, but not exaggerated, and their relative simplicity helps them continue to look current. They’ve been in Queen Noor’s jewelry collection for at least two decades.

In April 2001, Noor wore the earrings for a charity function in New York City.

A few months later, she donned them for another American event: the annual banquet of the American/Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, held in Michigan in December 2001.

And, more recently, she paired the earrings with a white ensemble to sign a condolence book at the Potocari Memorial Center, part of ceremonies held to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre in July 2015.
