The Duchess of Cambridge attended a gala dinner for the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families at the Orangery at Kensington Palace on Tuesday evening, and she brought along both borrowed and new diamonds.

She wore the diamond frame earrings on loan to her from the Queen, a year after her first appearance in the pair. These have become go-to gala earrings for Kate.

On her wrist, though, was something less familiar: a new diamond bracelet.

This appears to be the first time Kate has worn the bracelet in public. The design makes me think that it’s a newer piece of jewelry.

UPDATE: Posters at the RJWMB have identified this is as a little-seen piece from the Queen’s jewelry box, most prominently worn during the State Opening of Parliament in 2010. I dug up a few close-up photos from that occasion, and the bracelet does appear to be a match for Kate’s. Looks like we’ve got another loan on our hands!

Here’s a look at Kate’s full outfit for the gala, which included a sparkling poppy pin. Her dress, by Diane von Furstenburg, is a repeated garment first wore in 2014.
